Toffee Apple Dip

by Robin on October 8, 2009

This post is in response to Coupon Geek’s post here on Apples. I just had to share this recipe. It’s one of our favorites, and when you use both the red & green apples it’s perfect to take to a Christmas party.

TOFFEE APPLE DIP

5 Red delicious apples (cored & cut into 8 wedges) – I use a slicer like this one.
5 Granny Smith apples (cored & cut into 8 wedges)

**To keep the apples from browning I soak them in pineapple juice, but you can also squeeze some lemon juice on them.

3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup toffee bits

Combine the first 4 ingredients in a bowl. Beat at medium speed of a mixer until smooth. Add toffee bits and mix well. Cover and Chill. Serve with apple wedges.
